We had bid on the Hawaiin vacation at the last Futurity and won. It was well worth it and encourage you all to consider going after this wonderful vaction at this years Futurity. Of course, all benefits go to the childrens village at Casa Chapi. The Condo is right on the oceon with a beautiful view, and all imangiable activities avaialble from whale watching to volcano visiting. We had the best time and cannot wait to go back. It is time to go back to alpaca business as we prepare to start are 2013 show season in Charlotte Feb15. Though not as warm and relaxing as Maui,we look forward to seeing many of our friends again.

December Farm News
This was a month full of surprises. After returning from the Virginia Alpaca Show we got a call from our good friends Ursula and Ryan Munro. We were shocked to be informed that the Tripping Gnome herd was being sold. They had become one of the top breeding farms in the country winning the mid farm breeder of the year at the last three Futurities. Subsequently,Debbie was on her way to Maine in a few days to spend the weekend with Ryan and Ursula and visit her mom in Boston too. This was one of those things you never expect but to have the opportunity to add some of the top genetics in the country was too good to pass up. We will soon be adding to our herd a significant Tripping Gnome influence. Please call and arrange a visit to the farm to see why Tripping Gnome had become one of the leaders in breeding champions in the nation and how you too can benefit from their hard work.

November Farm News
November has been an extremely busy month for us here at 7 Springs Alpaca Farm. It started out in Atlanta at the Royal Alpaca Challenge. We were recently told that we were the top farm at the Royal Alpaca Challenge. As the show was closing down my wife Debbie was heading to the Atlanta Airport where she would meet Rhonda Dischner and Nick and Heidi Skinner and begin the arduous trip to Chivay Peru and the recently finished Casa Chapi and Snowmass Medical Clinic. What was also exciting that our daughter Anber from Geisenger Medical Center would meet them on Thursday. She is a third year medicine/pediatric resident and was accompanied by two othe residents and their advisor. From the time they arrived they were battling the flu, altitude sickness and preparing the clinic to open on Friday. With much sacrifice from all team members patients were officially being seen in the beautiful Snowmass Medical Clinic. This is truly a labor of love to all the people in the Coca Valley. Not only were people seen at Casa Chapi but one of the medical teams went out daily to the other towns to see patients. Dr Rhonda Dischner and Dr James Anderson who are veterans of our Peru Medical Missions headed up the teams. Debbie of course with her administrative skills over saw operationswith wonderful help from Shelly Clarke. This was one of the most successful trips yet. we want to thank all of our team memberswho sacrificed to go with their time and finances. We also had the arrival of Snowmass Royal Legends and his breeding career has officially begun here at 7 Springs Alapaca farm.

October Farm News
We are excited to announce that during a recent visit with Don and Julie Skinner we have become the privileged co-owners of the 2011 Futurity Judges Choice winner Snowmass Royal Legends. This male is phenominal in all aspects. His fleece has a buttery feel with outstanding architecture, fineness and density. He will infuse royal and championship genetics to our alpaca herd. We will begin breeding him in the next few weeks. If you are in the area come and visit the farm and see this extraordinary herd sire. Even as exciting as this, Heidi and Nick Skinner will be going with Debbie to Peru in November to the upcoming medical outreach that will be based out of Snowmass Medical Clinic and the recently opened childrens village Casa Chapi supported by Quechua Benefit. It will be wonderful to have Nick and Heidi there as we dedicate the clinic. This as been especially a dream of mine as well as others in the alpaca community. I helped establish a medical clinic with the help of Atlanta International Fellowship and the English Ambassador in war torn Sierra Leone in 1998, and now to see another medical facility established in another continent is very rewarding and exciting. This would not have been possible without the vision and leadership of Mike Safley and the Quechua Board and the generosity of Don and Julie Skinner.
